Ubuntu

Ubuntu is one of the most widely used Linux Distributions available however you must be warned, for the Unity Desktop has violated the Ubuntu user privacy policy by forwarding user usage data to 3rd parties such as Amazon, which in turn allows Amazon adds to appear in your start menu based on the things you search for and software that you have installed. I strongly recommend that you choose a different distribution such as Xubuntu or Lubuntu or any other variant of Ubuntu without the Unity Desktop which are just as user friendly, unless of course you want to be constantly hounded by the Amazon adds and the sharing of your user usage data with 3rd parties.
